WIP - Just need final border

Phew - this quilt had some bumps.  I ran out of a fabric I needed for some of the larger blocks, and had to run to the fabric store mid quilt.  Luckily they had some, so that was one crisis averted.

Now that I am at this stage, I just need to "frame" the quilt with a black border.  Already have that cut out, so after work tonight I plan on finishing this top off.

I really like the look of this quilt.  I feel that the colors really stand out between the black sashing.  He had requested deep earth tones, and I think I fulfilled that.

  1. It's looking good, I like the randomness (is that even a word) of the pattern.

  3. Piet Mondrain would be proud of that quilt. It is really fantastic. Your block is on its way. Postman said it should arrive today or Saturday.

  5. Hi Kurt! I'm liking your quilts. Just wanted you to know that the entire time I quilted before I got my longarm, I never used a walking foot; just drop the feed dogs and go to town. It's FUN!!! Thanks for dropping by my blog and signing up for the giveaway. Good luck!

  6. Hi Kurt, I just found your blog today and I love this quilt. I'm hoping to start making some quilts now that we've moved house and I've seen just how much fabric I've acquired...lol I'm sure it multiplies itself at night when I'm asleep...hee hee. Hugs Naomi
